Steve has been the senior pastor at Faith Baptist since 1993, and starting in 2024, he now serves as assistant pastor. Steve came to Christ as a young boy in Waupaca because of the faithful witness of his next door neighbors. Upon accepting the gospel, God filled Steve’s heart with the desire to know Him better, serve Him faithfully, and share His Word effectively. Steve began full time ministry in 1985 after graduating from Pillsbury Baptist Bible college and Calvary Baptist Seminary. He pastored in Rockford, IL for 8 years and then was called to begin pastoring at Faith Baptist Church in Wisconsin Rapids. He has a heart for helping and loves to see people accept Christ and grow in their relationships with Him. His dream as a pastor is that our church would be fruitful in making Spirit-filled disciples and bringing glory to God, in order that His love can spread across our city and beyond. Steve and his wife Sharon have been blessed with 6 children and 17 grandchildren.
